Ted grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles, where he began a television acting career at the age of five. He appeared in numerous commercials, as well as guest appearances on television shows such as Bewitched, The Bob Newhart Show, Adam-12, Little House on the Prairie and The Tonight Show to name a few. Although he continued to act in his teen years, his interest in art - especially cartooning - also began at an early age. After high school, Ted held a variety of odd jobs, from running a studio mailroom to working as a veterinary assistant. Eventually he decided to return to school and pursue a career in graphic design, a field that seemed to offer more stability. Through it all, though, he continued to draw cartoons.
I've always tried to look at the humor in everything I see or do," Ted explains. "With that kind fo thinking, I rarely run out of ideas to draw."
A member of Cowboy Cartoonists International, Ted currently resides with his wife and two kids in the "Show Me" state of Missouri. |
